Message from the President of the 6th International Congress of Pathophysiology

Following the 2006 meeting in Beijing, the 6th International congress will be held in Montreal, Canada from June 27 to June 30, 2010. We wish to enlarge the scope of our meeting to illustrate the progress from Genomics to Systems biology reflecting current trends in the evolution of pathophysiology and biological science in general. Today, both our genetic make-up and environmental exposures result in shared and distinct pathophysiological pathways. We also plan to present novel threapeutic targets derived from this new knowledge, future tools in prevention, and optimized therapy based on predictive genomics.

As mentioned earlier, the Congress will be hosted in Montreal, a highly diverse North American city with a pleasant dose of French flavour that offers much both scientifically and culturally. We look forward to seeing you in Montreal for an intensive, fruitful scientific exchange and a pleasant stay.
