CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
Call for Abstracts

Delegates are invited to submit one or more abstracts for oral or poster presentation.

  • Poster sessions: Posters will be displayed during the conference dates for viewing and discussion by all participants.

  • Oral presentations: Selected oral presentations of 15 minutes will be made during certain symposia.

Abstract Format
  • Submissions will only be accepted via the ONLINE FORM. After creating your online account, you will receive a hyperlink and password. You may type in your abstract and return to add another abstract later (Each author can submit up to 4 abstracts as a presenting author. There is no limit to number of abstracts submitted as co-author).

  • Scientific material must be original and not previously published, or not yet presented at any international meeting.

  • Abstracts should be, clear, concise and written in English only.

  • Length: Abstract should not exceed 250 words, not including title, author names and affiliations

  • Title: Title must be concise and specific (no abbreviations).

  • Abstract body: It is strongly recommended that the abstract be divided into the following headings: Background, Design, Results and Conclusion.

  • The abstract must be text only. No pictures, tables or special characters can be included.

  • Failure to use this format may result in rejection of the abstract.

  • Keywords are requested for each abstract (5 key words, separated by comma).

  • Proof carefully before submitting the abstract.

Confirmation of Receipt of Abstract

An email confirmation will be sent to the email address you provided upon the opening of your online account, confirming password. You may return to the online form, login and verify the submission of all your abstracts. If you do not receive email notification to your confirmed email address, it is your responsibility to immediately follow up with the Congress Secretariat – JPdL.

Review and Notification of Acceptance

All abstracts will be reviewed. At ISP & SHR 2010, the poster sessions are very important. The vast majority of presentations will be in the poster format. A small number of abstracts will be selected for oral presentation within certain symposia. You will be informed by email of the acceptance or rejection of your abstract in May 2010. Only the person identified as the Submitter will receive notification, which will be sent to the email address provided upon submission.

Please note that the selection of symposium presentations will be made by Abstract Review/Scientific Committee based on scientific merit and relevance to the symposium program.

Fees and Registration
  • There is no submission fee.
  • All presenters are required to register and pay the Congress registration fee in order to be included in the book of abstracts and to present on site.
  • Registration and payment by presenters of accepted abstracts must be completed no later than June 22, 2010.
Publication

Accepted Abstracts will be printed in the book of abstracts, provided to all participants on site. Submitters must agree to publication before submitting abstract.

Presentation

Posters will be grouped by themes and sub-themes and presented in the exhibition
hall at specific times during the Congress. The times will be confirmed prior to the Congress. Poster presenters are required to be by their poster for presentation and discussion during their scheduled poster session.

A limited number of abstracts will be selected for oral presentation as part of certain symposia.

Instructions for poster and oral presentations will be provided by email with confirmation of presentation schedule in June 2010.
